Welcome to Queerly Operatic, the San Francisco Bay Area's free lesbian/gay/queer opera club! Queerly Operatic has been going strong for 12 years now (since long before MeetUp). We meet for potlucks, DVD nights, and performances, often featuring operas with gender-bending "trouser" roles or selections from S.F. Opera's upcoming season. This year for the 2011-2012 season, we'll have something new: gatherings in conjunction with SF Opera Rainbow Series, so you don't have to go alone! In the spring, …
Let's hang out when attending SF operas or some HD operas in movie theaters. It'd be fun to build up some friends at Opera House. I go to La Travia 9 times in 2009 (I like only a few operas. If I like them, I try to go all of the performances). Maybe some of us like to humm along some songs to just to have fun. Check my Facebook link to have the most update event photos.

I am looking for cheap stuff to do so you won't find any opera or symphony events here (unless they're free!) So many artists out there, it's great to support your local art scen …
Hi there, my name is Erika, the organizer for the group and also the founder. I'd like to tell you a bit about this group. It's very dynamic in that you get to do just about anything that has to do with our classical music theme and friendship (e.g., audienceship, performance and learning). As facilitator of the group I do ask for at least a minimal commitment to the group in order to make it worthwhile for you and your fellow participants. Your active participation is necessary! This group …
A book club where the reading list isn't created by Oprah. Do you love a good Space Opera or Cyperpunk novel? Do people give you blank stares when you tell them that you're reading *another* Asimov novel? I like to read Science Fiction and talk about it with other interested Sci Fi fans. So lets read one book per month then we can meet up talk Sci Fi and make friends that read the same books as us.
