The first few minutes of Verdi´s opera "Otello" are among the most adrenaline-filled moments in opera. Througout history, there have been many great tenors who performed the role of Otello leaving memorable recordings. At the beginning of Act I, Otello enters the scene and sings the fabulous "Esultate...", his first line in this opera.
WHO DOES THE BEST "ESULTATE..."?
Here are 9 sound clips of just 30-40 seconds each from same number of different Otellos. Please listen carefully to all 9 and under the link at the bottom.
